Hardboard and Softboard / Insulation Board
// ProductProduct Details
Hardboard/HDF is a type of board made of steam-cooked and pressure-molded wood fibres. Softboard/Insulation Board is made up of wet-felted wood fibres which are pressed into a panel under heat and pressure. The panel is not pressed to the same degree as hardboard, resulting in a relatively soft product, uniform in density and thickness for use in ceiling insulation, office and acoustic enhancing screens, protective packaging and display boards. Bitumen impregnated Softboard is used primarily for concrete expansion joints due to the Bitumen decreasing its moisture absorption properties.
